Hello! I’m Saya a female ninja.
I’m a Japanese blogger traveling the world dressed as a ninja.
I would like to summarize the “Thailand DTV visa” that I recently obtained in Hanoi, Vietnam.
This visa is valid for 5 years and the visa application fee is 340 USD.
It was founded on July 15, 2024.
If you know Thailand’s elite visa or student visa, you can understand, but in comparison, this visa is a great deal.
The cheapest student visa for one year is about 810 USD. The elite visa costs about 19,284 USD for 5 years.
This is.. It’s too good a deal ! So I applied as soon as I know DTV visa.

This is because we were concerned that the screening process would become stricter in the future, and that the visa itself would be eliminated or altered. If you are in Japan, it may not be very clear, but the Thai government is a country that acts quickly when it decides. The speed is fast.
I don’t know what will happen in the future, so I got it while I could! It’s so cheap!
I’ve had a lot of questions related to DTV visas since I posted on X, so I’m going to summarize them in this article to help you gain virtue. My Japanese article got a lot of attention, so I’m currently translating it into English.
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a visa for remote workers, digital nomads, and freelancers who want to work and travel in Thailand, also known as the “Digital Nomad Visa”.
But in fact, you don’t have to be a nomad to get it. Or rather, when I was researching, there was a tendency for the speed of acceptance to be faster if you took it for something other than Nomad.
As expected, if you charge, you will immediately get all the documents that the Thai government is looking for. Many of the people who applied for a workcation were asked for additional materials separately. I was tired, so I paid about 370USD to a Muay Thai gym and prepared documents.
So, whether you are a Digital Nomad or not, if you like Thailand or are interested in living in Thailand, read on.

It is said that you can stay in Thailand for 60 days without a visa, and you can stay for up to 180 days in one year.*For Japanese people
However, even if you have not reached 180 days, you may still be warned at immigration. (Experienced)
In my case, I was in a crisis where I would not be allowed to enter the country at the airport in 2023.
At that time, I negotiated a lot and managed to enter the country, but I was warned to get a visa and enter the country next time.
I don’t know about it now, but at that time, even though I hadn’t stayed for 180 days in one year, there was a possibility that I wouldn’t be able to enter Thailand.
There were people who were denied entry in a timely manner …

I was denied entry in Thailand.
I was suspicious for some reason at immigration
Move to another room.
A word that was finally said after being interrogated
“I can’t enter the country.”
What…? What’s going to happen to this…?
This is the first time I’ve heard of immigration refusal in Thailand.
Get a ticket to go somewhere today
Do you feel like you have no choice but to leave the country?
It’s too new for me to know.
Stay 60 days without visa and 30 days with visa extension.
If you repeat it one more time, you can stay for 180 days in numbers, However, there is a possibility that you may be denied entry like this…
By the way, the visa extension fee is 1,900 baht (about 57USD).
If you extend it twice in one year, it is 3,800 baht (about 114USD), so it is better to get a DTV visa.
A DTV visa is a visa that allows you to stay for 180 days in one entry, and if you go to another country and come back to Thailand, you can stay for another 180 days. * You can extend your visa once for 180 days without traveling to another country..
For now, there is no limit to the number of days you can stay in one year. The visa is valid for 5 years.
How to apply for a DTV visa
From here, we will introduce in detail how to actually apply for a DTV visa.
Required documents and preparations
Documents can be submitted online from countries other than Thailand.
→→ Apply from the official Thailand e-Visa website.
⚫︎ Passport
⚫︎Photos taken within the last 6 months
→→ white wall background, iPhone selfie. I was able to do skin processing! I am.
⚫︎Documents showing the current place of stay: My Number Card, driver’s license, airline ticket, etc.
→→ applied from Hanoi, Vietnam, so I submitted an Agoda accommodation receipt!
⚫︎Financial certificate: Deposit balance certificate in English of 500,000 THB or more (in the name of the applicant or DTV visa holder)
From here, it depends on the purpose of entering the country.
1. In the case of a workcation (digital nomads, remote workers, talents, freelancers, etc.)
One of the following applicable documents:
⚫︎Certificate of incumbency
⚫︎ Transcript of the company’s register
⚫︎ Business consignment contracts with companies, etc.
⚫︎ Portfolio (materials showing past performance and achievements)
Only one photo can be uploaded. If you have multiple sheets, please submit them all together in a single PDF.
It is convenient to have a site where you can put together PDFs. Note that the size of the file is less than 3MB!
2. Soft power-related activities in Thailand (Muay Thai, Thai cooking training, medical treatment, etc.)
A letter of invitation or appointment letter from the host company (organization, school, medical institution, etc.).
I signed up for Tiger Eye, a Muay Thai gym in Bangkok.
Many people recommended that I get a DTV visa even for a one-month Muay Thai course, so I applied.
I signed up for Tiger Eye, a Muay Thai gym in Bangkok.
Many people recommended that I get a DTV visa even for a one-month Muay Thai course, so I applied.
⚫︎ 3-month course: 21,935 baht
⚫︎ 3-month women-only course: 13,910 baht
⚫︎ 6-month course: 32,100 baht
The one-month course includes unlimited training, multiple classes per day. You can book your first month of training. I signed up for this course, but I just found out that there is a new women-only course (3 months per week). I plan to change to this course for an additional fee. Because I want to manage my body shape and become biologically strong!
Even if you don’t go to Thailand, you can pay money from Wise or PayPal. * Only if you pay by PayPal, a separate fee of 500 baht will be charged. After payment, they will send you a PDF of the documents by email in about 2 days.
I applied in Vietnam and was approved for a one-month course, but Japan is a country with strict screening.
If possible, we recommend that you apply in another country.
The 6-month course costs 32,100 baht. It costs about 23,800 yen for one month. It includes one personal training session per month and two classes per week. If you think that you will attend a Muay Thai class for half a year, I think it is a reasonable amount.
By the way, if you are signing up for another Muay Thai gym or cooking class, you will also need documents to submit, so look for a place that offers DTV-specific courses.
3. For spouses and children under 20 years of age of DTV visa holders
